Before you begin your domain transfer, please ensure that your domain is unlocked and that you have the authorization (EPP) code. If you are unsure of this process please contact your current registrar for more information. The next step to transferring your domain into Internic is to create an account with us. If you already have an account you can skip to Step 2.
Step 1.
Visit Internic.ca and click Sign Up at the top right corner of the page. Complete the sign-up form by entering your information into the designated fields. Once you complete the sign-up process, check the box next to 'I agree to the Internic.ca Terms and Conditions' and click the Complete Registration button. Once your account is registered you will be logged in immediately.
Step 2.
Click on Products at the top of the page and select Transfer.
Step 3.
In the search bar, enter the domain you wish to transfer into your Internic account then click Transfer.
Step 3.
Check the box next to the domain name and enter the authorization code provided by your current registrar then click on Add to Cart to proceed.
Step 4.
You will be taken to the shopping cart to view the order details. Please verify that the information is correct and then check the box next to I Agree to the Terms of Service and click on Process Order.
Once payment is processed your domain will be added to our transfer queue where it will go through the necessary steps within our system. In most cases, once you initiate your domain transfer we will send a confirmation email to the administrative email address for that domain. For this reason it is very important to ensure that the administrative contact listed in the public WHOIS records for your domain is valid and up to date. You can verify your domain's WHOIS information by searching your domain in the Internic WHOIS.
Most domain transfers should be complete within 5 days depending on your current registrar. Depending on the registrar they may be able to push your transfer through after you respond to our email confirmation sent to your domain's administrative contact.
If you have records that have been specifically configured with your host, you will need to re-add them once the domain has been transferred. You can adjust records in your Advanced DNS Manager.
If you require assistance throughout this process please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Customer Experience team at your convenience.
