We do not suggest setting up email this way. This only adds the email through POP, which means you will not see your inbox the same as if you were using an IMAP setup in Outlook, or using Webmail.

To receive emails using Gmail account
To set up your Gmail account to receive emails from a POP account, please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Gmail account, click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page, then click See all settings.
Next, click Accounts and Import.
Step 2.
Under Check email from other accounts, click Add an email account.
Step 3.
Enter your hosted email address > Next > Check the option Import emails from my other account (POP3) > Next.
Step 4.
Ensure that your username is your full Cloud Email address, then enter the password for your email address. Fill in the following:
- POP Server: pop.internic.ca
- Port: 995
- Select "Leave a copy" and "Always use a secure connection"
Step 5.
Click Add Account.
Note: Your emails will not be pushed to Gmail, instead Gmail will pull your emails from the server. Unfortunately, Gmail's pull schedule cannot be changed, so any delay in email arrival is normal. Typically Gmail will pull your emails once every hour to once every 15 minutes, however, this may fluctuate. |
To send emails using Gmail account
To send emails from your Gmail account under your hosted email address please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Gmail account, click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page, then click See all settings.
Next, click Accounts and Import.
Step 2.
Under Send mail as, click Add another email address.
Step 3.
Enter your name and Cloud Email address. Check the box to Treat as an Alias, then click Next Step.
Step 4.
Fill in the following:
- Username: Your full Cloud Email Address
- SMTP Server: smtp.internic.ca
- Port: 587
- Select "Secured connection using TLS"
Step 5.
Click Add Account.
Note: After you have completed these step Gmail will send you a verification email containing a link and password. You will be required to activate the account by following the steps in their email. |
Once your email address has been activated to your Gmail account you will be able to send email in Gmail through your hosted email address.
To update your existing email settings
To update the existing server settings for incoming mail, please use the following steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Gmail account, click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page, then click See all settings.
Go to Accounts and Imports.
Step 2.
Go to Check mail from other accounts, and select edit info, found on the right-hand side.
Then update the settings as described above.
To update the existing server settings for outgoing mail, please use the following steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Gmail account, click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page, then click See all settings.
Go to Accounts and Imports.
Step 2.
Go to Send mail as, and select edit info, found on the right-hand side. Then update the settings as described above.
