Overview
If you have cancelled a domain registration but find that the associated website or email service is still accessible, this is usually due to the cancellation option selected during the request.
When cancelling your domain, there are two distinct options available: Cancel at End of Term and Cancel Immediately. If your website remains live after submitting a cancellation request, it means you selected Cancel at End of Term.
Understanding Domain Cancellation Options
When initiating a domain cancellation in your account dashboard, the system processes the request based on the selected setting:

| Cancel at End of Term | Disables auto-renewal for the domain while keeping the current registration active until its official expiration date. | Website Remains Live. The domain, DNS records, website, and email services remain fully functional until the end of the paid term. |
| Cancel Immediately | Immediately removes the domain from your active products and pushes it into the registry deletion queue, bypassing the remaining registration term. | Website Goes Offline. DNS resolution stops immediately, rendering the website and associated email services inaccessible. |
Self-Service Steps to Verify or Update Your Cancellation
If you want to check your domain's current cancellation status or change it from "End of Term" to an immediate deletion:
Log in to your account dashboard and navigate to Domain Management / My Domains.
Locate the domain and check its renewal status:
If set to "Cancel at End of Term": The auto-renew feature is turned off. The domain will expire naturally on its listed expiration date.
To Take the Site Offline Immediately: Select the option to Proceed to Cancel Immediately.

If you need assistance changing your cancellation type or if your website remains accessible after selecting an immediate cancellation, direct support assistance is required.
