Overview
When uploading, downloading, or managing website files remotely, web developers often look to use SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol).
Our web hosting platform does not support SFTP. Standard SSH/SFTP terminal and file transfer protocols are disabled across our shared web hosting servers.
Supported Alternatives for File Management
While SFTP is not supported, you can securely upload and manage your website files using our primary file management options:
1. Standard FTPS / FTP
You can upload files using standard FTP or FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS) through any standard FTP client (such as FileZilla, Cyberduck, or Transmit).
Protocol: Select FTP - File Transfer Protocol (or FTP over explicit TLS if supported by your client).
Host / Server: Your domain name or hosting server IP address.
Port:
21Credentials: Your main hosting FTP username and password.
2. Plesk File Manager (Web-Based)
You can manage, upload, extract, and edit files directly within your web browser without downloading any external software:
Log into your account dashboard and access your hosting control panel (Pleskl).
Open File Manager.
Navigate to your root directory (
/public_htmlor domain root folder) to upload.ziparchives, edit scripts, or adjust file permissions securely.
