Does my hosting plan support MySQL?

Yes! Our hosting infrastructure uses MariaDB 10.11.x, which is a high-performance, drop-in replacement for traditional MySQL databases. It runs on the standard MySQL port (3306) and is fully compatible with any application requiring a MySQL database engine.

What PHP and Node.js versions are supported?

We maintain a highly versatile environment for web development. You can configure your execution paths at any time:

• PHP Support: Easily toggle between multiple stable versions starting from PHP 7.4 through PHP 8.2+ right inside your control dashboard.

• Node.js Integration: Fully supported across our shared platform fleet! We actively host modern stable runtimes, including v24.13.0 and v25.5.0.

2. Data Centers & Remote Database Access

Where are your servers physically located?

As a proudly Canadian company, we ensure your data stays strictly on Canadian soil to comply with national data residency standards.

Our Canadian nodes are housed in the enterprise EXA Data Center (35 John St., Toronto, ON) in partnership with GlobalTeleHost Corp. Automated disaster-recovery backups are encrypted and stored inside AWS’s highly secure ca-central-1 region (Canada Central), ensuring complete compliance with Canadian data sovereignty laws.

Can I connect to my database remotely?

Yes, but it must be enabled by our system administrators for security. Because our cluster firewall restricts unauthorized traffic on database port 3306, you cannot enable remote access directly inside your dashboard.

If you use an external desktop utility like MySQL Workbench to manage your site's custom code, follow this process:

1. Visit a site like myip.internic.ca to find your local network's Public Static IP Address.

2. Reach out directly to Internic Support via chat or email with your database details and your IP address.

3. Our agents will generate an internal hosting ticket for our Hosting Administration Team, who will securely whitelist your specific IP address inside the cluster node's firewall rules.

Note: For the protection of the shared cluster, terminal command-line SSH shell access is permanently disabled across all shared subscription tiers.
