This article explains how to connect your domain to a website or web hosting provider.

Whether you're connecting your domain to Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, Weebly, or another website hosting provider, the process is generally the same.

Before You Begin

Before connecting your domain, obtain the required DNS records from your website or hosting provider.

These may include one or more of the following:

• A record
• AAAA record
• CNAME record
• TXT record (for domain verification)

Your website or hosting provider will provide the DNS records required to connect your domain.

Caution: Changes to your DNS settings may affect your website, email, or other services. Before making any changes, verify that you have the correct DNS records provided by your website or hosting provider. If you're unsure, contact your website provider or our Support team before proceeding.

Step 1: Enter Your DNS Records

Once you have the required DNS records, you'll need to update them where your DNS is managed.

If your DNS is managed by another provider, log in to your DNS provider's control panel and enter the DNS records supplied by your website or hosting provider.

Step 2: Verify Your DNS Records

After updating your DNS records:

• Review your DNS records to ensure they match the values provided by your website or hosting provider.
• Save your changes.
• Allow time for the DNS changes to propagate.
