So, you’ve optimized your pages with MarketGoo, set your target keywords, and added your competitors. As far as you can tell, you’re doing everything right to show search engines that your site has relevant content — but your keywords still aren’t showing up in MarketGoo. Don’t worry! There are a few common reasons this might happen, and most of them are easy to check.
First, the basics:
Before anything else, confirm that your site is being indexed by Google. You can do this quickly by using the site: search operator. Try searching for:
- site:thisisanexamplesite.com
- site:thisisanexamplesite.com/blog
- site:thisisanexamplesite.com/blog/my-site-rocks

If no results show up, that’s a red flag — it means Google isn’t indexing your site. You’ll need to fix that before your keywords can start ranking. (Check this indexing article for more help with that.)
If your site does appear but your keywords still aren’t ranking, here are some possible reasons why:
Your website is still new
If your site is less than a month or two old, that can affect how quickly your keywords start ranking. Search engines often give older, more established websites higher priority.Your keywords are too broad or too competitive
Choosing the right keywords is essential for SEO success. If your keywords are too general, you’ll be competing with many other sites. Spend some time researching keywords that are relevant to your niche and more specific to your business. MarketGoo’s suggested keywords are a great place to start.Your site isn’t in the top 100 search results yet
MarketGoo only detects keywords that rank within the first 100 results on Google. If your site isn’t there yet, your keywords won’t show up. It might just take more time and optimization to break into the top results. You don’t have enough pages or content
Sites with more pages are usually seen as more relevant and are more likely to rank for a variety of search queries. If your competitors have 100+ pages and you only have 5, they’re naturally going to rank for more keywords.Creating more pages gives you the chance to provide specific, detailed content about your products or services and helps search engines understand what your site is about.
Tip: Companies with 51–100 pages on their website generate 48% more traffic than those with only 1–50 pages.
If you have checked and agreed that you have met the possible reasons why the keywords are not being ranked and it still doesn't do so after some time, feel free to log a message to support@marketgoo.com and we would be happy to investigate the issue.
